NEW MASTER ARTISTS' WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS

CLASSES FOR ADULTS

MONDAY

CEZANNE AND BEYOND:  Ilona Levitz
This class is for representational artists who want to "loosen up" their work. Cezanne said "Painting does not consist of copying the object." By pushing into abstraction the traditional artist can find a new sense of freedom. Letting go of the need to "copy the object" allows the artist to create a more exciting painting style.
With the use of Cezanne’s revolutionary ideas and techniques of the great artists he inspired, we will push beyond the boundaries of "tight" traditional painting. Individual and group instruction, critiques and demonstrations. All mediums, beginners to advanced. Please bring an example of your work to the 1st class. Come prepared to work with canvas, paper, paint, brushes, etc.
