BOB MCKEE has come a long way in his artistic endeavors since retiring as beloved head coach at Hall and Conard High Schools for 36 years.

Bob has been involved with WHAL classes and has painted under the tutelage of some of his favorite artists concentrating on local

scenes around West Hartford as well as figurative and still life depictions.

His painting of the "Little Red School House" was recently selected for WHAL’s Holiday card. Bob has been a faithful assistant in gallery functions, especially on the Installations and Buildings and Grounds Committees.

He is willing to do whatever he can such as painting signs, adjusting the lighting, and lending his eye for making sure everything is in place for the opening…and always with a little humor and a smile. His ideas, help, and support are most valued at WHAL.
